A proud member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Pastor RF Jones, II. Born in
February at Brackenridge Hospital, Austin, Texas
As a Child:
I grew up with three sisters and three brothers. I had a very close relationship with my grandmother
whom raised me the majority of my childhood. My grandmother loved God and made sure I was raised in
Church. My grandfather was a Pastor. As a child I had plenty of childhood friends, I skipped second
grade in elementary and ran track.
What I Truly enjoy:
I enjoy being around people and having fun. I also like planning and organizing events for others. I
truly enjoy bowling and playing dominoes. I love going to Church, being ministered to and being able
to fellowship with the congregation. I enjoy being a servant for God and helping others in need and
supporting the surrounding community.
Something I am proud of in My Life:
Giving all thanks to God, I was able to retire from State of Texas after 30 yrs. I have four lovely
children and seven grandchildren whom I adore very much. I am very proud to see those of age become
very successful with their lives and what God is doing for them. I am a very active member in my
Church. I thank God for the opportunity to lead the Praise and Worship team, Administrative Support to
our Sunday School team and other duties I'm asked to do and volunteer. I am actively involved in Servants
of Hope Kingdom Ministry.
What I like best about Myself:
I love being a support to others and being that social butterfly. I enjoy making people laugh and
allowing them to be themselves when around me. I love the fact that I am very strong will and
confident. I love being compassionate and having a Heart for God. In my relationship with Christ, I
am learning to become more patient and understanding as I continue my Christian Journey. I enjoy
having the bonds I created with my children and grandchildren. I’ve learned to love others with a
A proud member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Pastor RF Jones, II. Born in Las Vegas, NV in the month of October in the mid sixties. I grew up in Milwaukee, WI with my sisters. My father was active military in the ARMY and after completing his term he relocated my family to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I attended grade school until high school graduation. As a child I remember fun times when my mom would take us on summer vacations to California, Las Vegas and Texas. After high school graduation I went on to complete a certificate program at the Milwaukee Business Training Institute where I became certified as Business Office Assistant. I became a young mother and wife before the age of twenty. Before making Texas my permanent home I traveled a few states and bore a few more children; all according to Gods will for my destiny.
I am truly proud of the fact that I got saved as a teenager. I learned about Jesus immediately and began my journey as a young convert. The journey hasn't always been easy but God sustained me in the process of learning “life lessons” and suffering many consequences to which I am grateful for; it has shaped and molded me into a better person. I am also truly proud and humbled at the same time that God would choose me to serve in the ministry. As a licensed minister the obligation and responsibility can be daunting and yet very rewarding. I am also very proud of my adult children and how they have grown up and started constructive lives for themselves. You want the very best for your children and if we had it our way; we would make the way of life easy for them but thanks be unto God that He knows the plan for our lives according to Jeremiah 29:11..
I thank God for all of the challenges and struggles in my past life for they have truly shaped my future. I am thankful for the call on my life to minister and serve others. God will make room for your gifts; Servants of Hope Kingdom Ministry offers a platform in ways that I can truly serve in the community as a servant. I thank God my mother raised me in the church at a young age; I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at age sixteen. Now as a Believer I can truly say that I love the Lord.
A proud member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Pastor RF Jones, II. Born and raised in Hartford, CT I grew up with 2 brothers who I adore. I had a very strong and special bond with my mother but lost her at the tender age of 9 due to cancer. This loss sent me on a downward spiral of rebellion during my early pre-teens but I was able to re-unite with my maternal father and start a new life in Austin, TX at the age of 14. In Texas was where I found and accepted Christ and I was baptized by the late Reverend Norman W. Bacon of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church at the age of 16. Christ began to move in my life but it was not until the age of 30 that I would fully begin my walk with the Lord. The Lord blessed me with a wonderful supportive husband of 24 years along with seven beautiful children and one grandson. While raising a family, I attended ITT tech and completed a certificate program as a Medical/Legal Office Assistant and began my career in the medical field where I have over 30+ years of experience. I currently work for an Oncology medical facility and love helping patients while ensuring they receive the best care they deserve. I love sharing the gospel and hope others see the God in me. When the vision of Servants of Hope was given to me, I felt God saying "Go, the time is now!" I had been sitting on my gift for so long but God moved me out of my comfort zone to a place of uncertainty and discomfort but I trusted in HIM and HIS plan for me to do HIS work. I can truly say that I see what HE is doing in my life as well as those HE has brought into my life. In the short time Servants of Hope has been birthed, I have been able to serve my community along side some strong sisters who are not afraid to jump in and serve. TO GOD BE THE GLORY, for allowing me to be part of such a wonderful vision and discipleship. To my sisters Trinett (aka TT) and Tyshun who graciously jumped on board to help birth the vision, I am truly honored to what has already transpired and I owe it all to God! From a shy quiet girl into a woman who is still shy and quiet but with a strong willingness to serve and give as God will have me to do! Isaiah 40:31- But those who HOPE in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. they will walk and not be faint.
